FLUSHING WATERWAYS BUTTONS
QUEENS, NYC - 2017
Originally commissioned for the Riverkeeper x Guardians of Flushing Bay Flushing Waterways Community Visioning Session at the Queens Museum on June 22, 2017 Flushing Waterways Buttons allowed participants of all ages to design their own Flushing Bay and Creek button or customize existing templates. The project was used to promote advocacy and dialogue around the Flushing Waterways leading up to a rally sponsored by the local Council Member.
Throughout summer '17 buttons were left around the human powered boat docks at the World's Fair Marina Pier 1 along the Flushing Bay Promenade in Flushing Meadows - Corona Park.
A new set of buttons was produced and given away to advocates and community members during commnuity events and meetings related to the Riverkeeper x Guardians of Flushing Bay Flushing Waterways Vision Plan.
